Treat pain with acupuncture

Acupuncture for the treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions is excellent and has been proven   by numerous scientific studies. Acupuncture relieves pain and reduces inflammation. The analgesic effect of acupuncture is based on promoting blood flow, relaxing muscles via the release of natural endorphins, and reducing inflammation.

Acupuncture is also recommended as an accompanying measure to drug therapy. Often a reduction of painkillers is possible, which can have a negative influence on health in the long term. In addition to the analgesic effect, acupuncture also has a positive influence on mood due to the close neuronal regulation of pain and emotions.

Some patients feel immediate relief after acupuncture, while others require several treatments to gain pain relief. Typically, it takes about four or five treatments a week apart before lasting improvement is felt.
